Texas · CFA & TICA Registered · Elite Devon Rex
We are The Rex Files — a CFA & TICA registered Devon Rex cattery in North Texas committed to breeding kittens of exceptional health, structure, and temperament.
Who We Are
The Rex Files is a CFA & TICA registered Devon Rex cattery in Keller, Texas, owned and operated by Christa and Jerry Longbine. Every decision we make — from the cats we import to the homes we approve — is guided by one principle: the welfare of the breed comes first.
Devon Rex are remarkable cats: alien-faced, curly-coated, and completely wired for connection. We evaluate our breeding Kings and Queens for health, temperament, type, and coat quality — with rare color as a bonus, never the primary driver. Our breeding program draws from champion bloodlines sourced from Ukraine, China, and Italy.
We are a small, intentional program. We don't maximize litter frequency. We wait until our pairs are right, our girls are rested, and our homes are ready.
Health & Standards
Every breeding cat at The Rex Files is evaluated against a rigorous health protocol before any pairing is made.
All breeding cats are screened through Wisdom Panel for 45+ genetic diseases. We don't breed known carriers unless the pairing eliminates risk in offspring, and we're transparent about every result.
Each breeding cat receives a cardiac evaluation by a board certified veterinary cardiologist via echocardiogram annually. HCM screening is essential for Devon Rex and is non-negotiable in our program — not an optional add-on.
All breeding cats and kittens are CFA & TICA registered with confirmed pedigrees. We show because the show hall is where type is judged honestly — ribbons are a byproduct, not the goal.
Breeding Program
Our breeding cats carry CFA champion titles and bloodlines from some of the most respected programs in Ukraine, China, and Italy.

Available Kittens
Our kittens are placed thoughtfully. We maintain a waiting list and match each kitten with the right home — not simply the next name in line. We consider lifestyle, household composition, and what you're actually looking for.
Kittens are ready to go home at 16 weeks. They will be fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and spay or neutered. Breeding rights are considered on a very limited basis. Each kitten comes with a health guarantee, contract, pedigree documentation, and parents DNA, ECHO, and pedigree reports.

Current availability and upcoming litters are shared with waitlisted families first. Spots fill quickly.
